About us

Empowering Communities Through Technology

At Access Lab Digital Literacy Network, we believe that access to technology is a basic need in today’s world — not a luxury.

Access Lab was founded in Toronto by individuals who know firsthand what it’s like to grow up in poverty. We understand the frustration of wanting to learn, connect, and explore opportunities but lacking the tools to do so. That’s why we created Access Lab: to ensure no one is left behind in a world where digital access is essential. From students who can’t participate in online learning, to job seekers without digital skills, to seniors struggling to connect with loved ones, the digital divide is real — and we are here to close it.

What We Do

Technology Access – We provide refurbished computers, tablets, and other devices to individuals and families who cannot afford them.

Digital Skills Training – Our workshops teach essential skills, from basic computer use to understanding artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.

Community Support – We partner with schools, nonprofits, and local organizations to make digital access and education available to everyone.

Future-Ready Programs – We prepare people for the future of work by offering guidance on AI, coding, and other high-demand skills.
