About us
Empowering Communities Through Technology
At Access Lab Digital Literacy Network, we believe that access to technology is a basic need in today’s world — not a luxury.
Access Lab was founded in Toronto by individuals who know firsthand what it’s like to grow up in poverty. We understand the frustration of wanting to learn, connect, and explore opportunities but lacking the tools to do so. That’s why we created Access Lab: to ensure no one is left behind in a world where digital access is essential. From students who can’t participate in online learning, to job seekers without digital skills, to seniors struggling to connect with loved ones, the digital divide is real — and we are here to close it.
Our Partners
We believe collaboration is the key to creating lasting change. Access Lab Digital Literacy Network works with a variety of partners — including local businesses, nonprofits, schools, and community organizations — to expand access to technology and digital skills training.
Through these partnerships, we’re able to:
- Distribute more devices to people who need them.
- Host free digital literacy workshops and training programs.
- Create pathways to employment in the technology sector.
- Reach underserved communities faster and more effectively.
